Connect Apaleo

If your hotel runs on Apaleo, you can connect it to Brixa yourself from the hotel's settings page. Brixa then quotes from your live Apaleo availability and prices and, with Manage reservations switched on, places accepted bookings in Apaleo.

What you need

Connect your property

  1. In Brixa, select Hotels in the left menu, open the hotel's settings page and go to the PMS Integration section. When no PMS is connected, it asks Which system does this hotel use? and shows two tiles: Mews and Apaleo.
  2. Choose Apaleo. The tile reads Sign in to Apaleo and approve the connection. and offers a Connect with Apaleo button.
  3. Select Connect with Apaleo. Your browser goes to Apaleo.
  4. Sign in with your Apaleo account and approve the access Brixa asks for. The approval screen lists what Brixa asks for: reading your property setup, rates and availability, and reading and managing reservations. Connecting changes nothing in Apaleo.
  5. Back in Brixa, if your Apaleo account has several properties, pick the property under Choose the property for this hotel, then select Connect to selected property.

The section now shows the connection as connected. The sync controls in the same section work as before. See What Syncs Between Brixa and Your PMS.

How bookings work with Apaleo

Apaleo does not hold rooms tentatively. With Manage reservations switched on in the PMS Integration section, what happens when a guest accepts a quote depends on the quote's cancellation policy (see Ask Guests to Pay or Leave a Card at Booking):

Cancellations

Brixa cancels a booking in Apaleo only when the guest asks for the cancellation in the conversation, and only if Apaleo allows it; otherwise your team gets an alert and nothing is changed. Cancelling a quote yourself from the quote page does not touch Apaleo, so cancel the reservation there as well.

Photos

Apaleo does not provide room photos. Upload room type and hotel photos in Brixa, as you do today.

Disconnect or reconnect

In the same PMS Integration section, select Disconnect to remove the connection. To connect again, repeat the steps above, including the Apaleo sign-in and approval.
