What Syncs Between Brixa and Your PMS

Quick answers to the questions hotels ask most about the PMS connection: what Brixa will and will not touch, where bookings appear, and which system to trust.

Will Brixa change my rates or setup?

No. Brixa never:

The only thing Brixa ever creates in your PMS is a new reservation from an accepted quote — and only if you have enabled that.

What does Brixa fill in when it syncs my room types?

Room types themselves always come from your PMS. When Brixa syncs a room type, it also fills in a few details on the Brixa side to save you setup work:

None of this changes anything in your PMS — it only fills in details on the Brixa side. If a room type was synced before this existed and is missing a bed arrangement, description, or photos, the next sync fills in whatever is still empty. Anything you already entered or edited by hand is left exactly as you set it.

Do quotes reflect my real availability?

Yes. Quote options are based on what your PMS shows as available for the requested dates, and they refresh when the guest changes dates or party size. If a quote offers a room your PMS says is sold out, or misses one that is open, check your PMS first and then tell Brixa's team.

Where do new bookings appear?

In your PMS, when automatic reservation creation is enabled for your hotel. The reservation carries what the guest agreed to — dates, the selected room, guest count, and price — along with the guest's contact details, and its notes include any special requests from the conversation, so your front desk works from the PMS as usual. If automatic creation is not enabled, your team enters accepted bookings manually from the booking view in Brixa. See From Accepted Quote to Reservation for the full picture.

Do I need to trigger anything?

No. There are no exports to run, buttons to press, or sync schedules to manage. Your day-to-day PMS work does not change.

Which system should I trust?

Your PMS is always the source of truth. It is the record that counts for operations, billing, and reporting. If Brixa and your PMS ever seem to disagree, trust the PMS and see PMS Issues and Recovery for what to do next.
