Connecting Your PMS
Connecting your property management system lets Brixa quote from your live availability and, when you choose to enable it, place accepted bookings in your PMS automatically. Here is what you need and the steps to get set up.
What the connection gives you
- Quotes based on your real availability. Guests are offered rooms that are actually open for their dates, not options from a static room list.
- Accepted bookings in your PMS, automatically. No manual re-typing of reservations. This is optional and switched on separately — see below.
What you need before setup
The connection uses credentials issued by your PMS provider. How you obtain them depends on your PMS; Mews is one example of a supported system. Your PMS provider's support team or account manager can issue or approve the access, and Brixa's team will tell you exactly what to request.
How setup works
Setup is done together with Brixa's team rather than through a self-service screen:
- Contact Brixa and let them know which PMS your hotel uses.
- Obtain access from your PMS provider. Brixa's team will guide you through requesting the right credentials or authorization.
- Brixa's team completes the connection for your hotel and confirms it with you.
Verifying the connection works
The simplest check is a real quote. Ask Brixa's team to confirm the connection during setup, then watch the first few guest requests: quotes should offer room options that match what your PMS shows as available for those dates. If a quote offers a room your PMS says is sold out (or misses one that is open), tell Brixa's team.
Enabling automatic bookings when you're ready
Many hotels start with quoting only: guests get quotes from live availability, and staff enter accepted bookings into the PMS themselves. Once you have seen accurate quotes and trust the flow, ask Brixa's team to enable automatic reservation creation — from then on, accepted bookings appear in your PMS without manual entry. If anything ever goes wrong with the connection, see PMS Issues and Recovery.
